Honda has recently introduced the car world with its all-new HONDA CIVIC 2017, at the Geneva Motor Show.
HONDA CIVIC 2017 OVERVIEW
This is the debut in America, though the model was introduced in the continent. The new version will be exported worldwide from the UK, the manufacturing plant of Honda.Whereas, the delivery in Europe will begin in early 2017. The new car will be offered in five specification levels across both sedan and hatch-back category. Civic Type R will also arrive in late 2017. Honda specification level RS will help buyers to get a sporty look without the intent of sporting.
In addition, it has sporty alloy wheels with low profile tires and an integrated body kit with RS badges. The car will join the four-sedan and two-door coupe that was redesigned for model 2016. The 10th generation compact car is replaced with larger dimension, more interior space and styling borrowed from Acura brand. The four-door hatch expands its line-up with new rival hatchbacks from its competitors like Ford Focus, Mazda 3, Hyundai Elantra, Subaru Impreza and Volkswagen Golf. The Type R comes to America with a model that is highly respected overseas for its power and handling. It is going to be the first entry of Honda in the compact category.
HONDA CIVIC 2017 EXTERIOR
The exterior of the car shows its fresh design themes and a new more exciting visual language. Fast-back type profile is maintained which looks more muscular and eye-catching. More features like C-shaped LED tail-lamps, a specification level known as RS, sporty alloy wheels, high fuel efficiency are also provided. The RS model, with a more luxurious variant, will be offered as the flagship version. Details like LED headlights, LED front fog-lights, and a sunroof will also be featured.
Basically, it is a family hatchback that is currently in its ninth generation. Though it has restricted rear visibility, poor engine refinement, and less headspace, but Honda is looking to change that with the launch of the 10th model that is the HONDA CIVIC 2017. It’s built at Honda’s factory in Swinton and will be exported worldwide from there. The new car is wider, lower and longer than its predecessor which needs more space inside. Saloon and coupe versions of the Civic are offered in the US, but not in the UK.
HONDA CIVIC 2017 INTERIOR
The interior of the car is improved using better quality materials. Double-deck dashboard replaces a new handsome and friendly instrument panel. The car has lowered seating position and base of the windshield to increase integration and visibility. It has extended rear roofline that will play its role to the passenger room and will increase the cargo space and versatility. The trunk-space is impressive with 15.1-cubic-foot space. The trendy steering wheels, low profile tires, and upgraded brakes increase the car’s demand and popularity.
LX versions feature LED daytime running lamps, automatic climate control, and electronic parking brake. EX models have pushbutton ignition and Honda’s Display Audio system. Moreover, it features dashboard touchscreen with Google Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. EX-Ts and rest of all will feature heated front seats and dual-zone automatic climate control. Whereas, Touring versions will include power driver and passenger seats and heated rear seats. Safety features will help drivers to drive safely. These include a forward-collision alert, automatic braking, frontal collisions mitigation system, lane-departure warning, self-correcting steering. and adaptive cruise control to maintain a good distance from other vehicles ahead.
HONDA CIVIC 2017 ENGINE
In the car, there is a choice of two drivetrains. First one is a 1.8-liter four-cylinder petrol engine, and the second one is the 1.5-litre four-cylinder unit turbocharged Earth-Dreams motor from the H brand. The standard engine will be offered in the lower specification models and produces 110kW power and 180Nm of torque. The Earth-Dreams engine produces 127kW of power and 220Nm of torque. CVT automatic gearbox will be offered with it.

It’s too early to say about the price, but mentioning here that the current price of the car is £16,470, so about a starting price of around £17,000 is expected for the new HONDA CIVIC 2017.
HONDA CIVIC 2017 RELEASE DATE
It is expected to go on sale in autumn 2016.
